15. Nervous System Healing & Experiencing God in Your Body
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
What if the reason you feel disconnected from God…
isn’t your faith—but the state of your nervous system?
In this episode of the God’s Got It Podcast, we explore the powerful intersection of nervous system healing, somatic work, and your relationship with God—and how your body directly impacts your ability to experience His peace, presence, and guidance.
Because here’s the truth:
You can believe in God…
read your Bible…
pray daily…
…and still feel anxious, overwhelmed, or like you’re “not hearing Him.”
Why?
Because you can’t experience peace when your body thinks it’s in danger.
This conversation bridges faith + science, helping you understand how chronic stress, survival mode, and unprocessed emotions can distort your perception of God—and what it actually takes to move into a lived, embodied experience of His peace.
In This Episode, We Cover:
- What the nervous system is (in simple terms)
- The difference between fight-or-flight vs. rest-and-digest
- How chronic stress and anxiety impact your connection with God
- Why you’re not “bad at faith”—you may just be in survival mode
- The role of somatic and nervous system healing in deepening your walk with Christ
- How unprocessed emotions keep you stuck in anxiety and overwhelm loops
- Why “be still and know” is more than a suggestion—it’s a pathway
- A simple 3–5 minute practice to begin regulating your system
We also share personal stories—from anxiety and overwhelm to embodied peace—and how this work has transformed not just our nervous systems… but our experience of God Himself.
This isn’t about adding more to your to-do list.
It’s about creating space to actually receive Him.

Welcome to God's Got It, the podcast for women coming home to God.
SPEAKER_04I'm Jen, and I'm Molly, and we're just two girls walking with God, doing our best to trust the process.
SPEAKER_00Here we'll be talking all things faith, healing, and what it looks like to build a life in Christ as we navigate the messy middle of being human.
SPEAKER_04This is a space for the raw and unfiltered conversations about seasons that test your trust, moments that stretch your faith, and stories that remind you, no matter what's unfolding, God's got it. What's up, everybody? Welcome back to the God's Got It podcast. We are excited to be here with you all for another episode. And today we're just gonna be diving into a topic that I'm super stoked about because I have dedicated a large portion of my life to studying the nervous system. So yeah, I think today we're gonna be diving into conversation around nervous system healing and experiencing God within that nervous system healing. And I'm just excited for us to traverse this together today because both of us have this deep connection to somatic healing, to nervous system work, and really just laying that out for all of you who are listening, and maybe some of the story will land and resonate. Maybe you'll learn something new today about your nervous system that you didn't know. Um, but we're here to give you all the tea. So that's that. So how are you doing today, Miss Male, Male, Male?
SPEAKER_02Doing okay. I'm doing okay. Surviving through the first trimester. Grateful for I was thinking about this as we were getting started. I'm like, wow, I'm actually really grateful for all the work I have done in the realm of somatics and nervous system healing to be in this season of life that I'm in because it can be incredibly dysregulating, disorienting to just kind of have this little being taking over your entire body and feeling like your body is not yours and you have no control over the processes of what's happening, how much energy you have, anything. So um I'm good. I'm exhausted, I'm nauseous, and I'm grateful.
SPEAKER_04Oh all the things like the ultimate surrender.
SPEAKER_02I mean, yeah. This isn't gonna be another podcast on pregnancy, but it really has, it really is. It's the ultimate surrender, and um, I'm just so grateful for everything in my life and my walk with God that has led me to knowing surrender as deeply as I do, because it really has been this beautiful culmination season of like throwing my hands up and being like, God, you got it. Like, you got this. Direct me in what to do, let me lay down when I need to lay down, rest when I need to rest, move when I need to move, and it's cut out so much of the noise of the excess. Like how much extra our heightened nervous system can actually tell us we need to be doing or need to be striving for or need to be achieving, it's like that noise has turned all the way down in pregnancy. There's like just so much that I used to be so stressed and attached to that doesn't matter because I don't have the energy for it.
SPEAKER_04So, what you're saying is in order for me to now really feel that full sense of surrender, I have to go out and get pregnant.
SPEAKER_01I mean, I kid, I kid.
SPEAKER_02No, I believe that everybody has the capacity to understand a full state of surrender with God. And I think what we're gonna talk about today is really important in achieving that, right? We talk so much on this podcast and in our day-to-day conversations that God is not just something that we believe in. It's not just a choice, it's not just a lifestyle, it's an experience that you get to have in your body. And your body does not operate without your nervous system. So the education that we're talking about today is baseline knowledge, integration, practice that you can wear in your life that helps you grow closer to God. And I don't know that without nervous system healing, somatic healing, everything that we're going to traverse today, that I would have found the surrendered state that I now live in with God. Because it's one thing for us to read the Bible, receive scripture, go to church, have godly friendships, all of those things. And I think you can experience God in those places, but I think that it gives you like momentary glimpses of God where it's like, oh yeah, I really felt God in that room, or I really felt God in that person, really felt it in that conversation. And what we're talking about is shifting from that into living in that daily surrendered state with God and the reality of what it takes to get there, that it's not something that just happens because you declare Jesus as your Lord and Savior. It's a process that we get to live through alongside God.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, absolutely. And we, I know we talk about it, we say it a lot, but it's it bears re worth repeating because that is the like the cornerstone of the work that we do is that embodied experience. And I know that anybody who's listening, myself included, can resonate with this idea of like, yeah, like you say you have faith and you believe in God, but even when you're, you know, maybe you're reading your Bible or you're connecting in the worship music, there's still this like an underlying buzz in your system or overwhelm and anxiety. And what if that has nothing to do with your actual faith and your relationship with God, but a lack of safety felt within your system that was creating that that what you are deeming as like a disconnect or not for hearing from God. Um, and I think that just warrants talking about because we can all walk around and say we have this big faith and still feel that lack of connection within our body to him.
SPEAKER_02And you see it all the time, people who do have faith in God, who are devoted in their walk and who are still living in an immense amount of suffering. And that's not to say that this conversation is offering you all the tools that are going to completely alleviate your suffering, but I know from personal experience and I know from the stories of your personal experiences that we used to live in an immense amount of personal suffering because of the state of our nervous systems, because of the things that had happened in our life that caused imprints that our bodies were holding on to, that were continuously telling us it's not safe, you're not safe, work harder, push further. And all of these stories are the things that keep us in separation from God. If you go back a few podcasts, we have one on sin and the actual meaning of sin. And I think this is where like psychology and biology and spirituality coming together gets really, really cool because the things that cause us to sin are these wounds of separation. And when we were talking about that in that podcast, we're today we're gonna talk about the science of that, like how those things actually get contracted in your system, and what are the ways you can actually work into alleviating those old stories and timelines and things from your system. Um, and I think as we're talking about this too, it's what I've noticed because I have lived through like the full spectrum of spirituality, being so deep on a new age path, so deep in mysticism, and then coming home to Christ and leaning more towards Christianity, but also having a lot of questions inside of that space. I see a lot of people coming home to Christ and completely throwing out the necessity or the power of healing work, right? And from my understanding, God created this incredible system that is our body, right? Our minds and our bodies and how connected they truly are. He is the one who created this system, he's the one who created the reality that our body operates off of a nervous system that has a central vagus nerve that branches out into all these other nerves that has this mechanism of regulating itself through our breath and through slowing down and through conscious awareness. And it's so easy once you come home to Christ and kind of lean into Christianity to throw the healing baby out with the new age bath water. And today I kind of want to just speak to the reality of the science that can be missing from a healing journey with Jesus if you don't know about your nervous system and how it operates and how these things work.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, 100%. And I think that so many people are missing that. And as I'm thinking about my own healing journey, you know, and the things that I used to like, I mean, and I still struggle with these things. I'll say I'm always a work in progress, right? But this the striving and the performing and and all of that, nervous system work and taking the time to sit with my breath and sit with my body has helped me navigate through some of those stories and release them. And in all of that, God never changed, but my internal state changed. Yeah. And like that is the piece that we want to really hit home today with everyone that's listening in and having that understanding of how your body actually works in these in these day-to-day moments, and how can you be accessing that to gain a deeper connection, return to a safety within your system and thus a reconnection with God.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. So I want to take this step by step, starting with. I know we can get so nerdy about the science of all this stuff, but I want to hopefully value down to the fifth grade teaching level, starting with just what is your nervous system.
SPEAKER_04Um, I would the easiest way for me to describe your nervous system is like, it is your body's safety filter. It is the system in your body that's saying, Am I safe right now or am I not safe right now? And it's constantly scanning and determining the the what which one it is.
SPEAKER_02Right, right. And what are some of the things that happen in your body when your nervous system is in a state that's saying, I'm not safe right now?
SPEAKER_04Yeah. So we call this, and maybe some of you recognize this, is gonna be that fight or flight response. I know that's buzzy, you've probably heard that a lot. This is our sympathetic nervous system. So our nervous system is broken down into two pieces: sympathetic and parasympathetic. Our sympathetic nervous system is that one that's going to give us those sense of like um, I need to run, panic, anxiety, overwhelm. This sense of like, I need to gain control over this situation. So physically, what are you gonna see when that happens, right? You might notice that your temperature is changing. You may notice that your heart rate is, you know, going really, really fast. You might notice like uh um sweating, tingling, talking a lot. All of those things would be symptoms that I was in an elevated state where my body was feeling like there was some kind of threat nearby that I needed to escape.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Yeah. And I think something that's important for people to understand is that we live in a world that is incessantly playing on our sympathetic nervous system, our screens, our work-life balance. I mean, just the world that we live in inherently is activating to this sympathetic nervous system. So if you are not actively choosing to educate yourself on this and then practice moving yourself out of a sympathetic state and into a parasympathetic state, your system is almost always going to be in that on state. Um, and when that happens over time, some of these symptoms that Jen's talking about, it's like you don't even notice anymore that you're just living in a steady state of maybe your heart rate being a little elevated, your blood pressure being a little elevated, your temperature being a little elevated, and all of these things. I mean, you're the what the reason I got so interested in the nervous system came from my background in nursing and recognizing that the nervous system is the thing that innervates every other system in the body, right? So it's gonna tell your body it's safe to digest and how to digest. It's gonna activate the different hormones and um what is the word I'm looking for? Pregnancy brain. Um like when your stomach secretes bile and those sorts of things. What is it called?
SPEAKER_04Acid reflux? I don't know.
SPEAKER_02Damn. Okay. When your body is it's gonna tell your body when to secrete certain hormones and at what levels to secrete them at, right? So now this is causing an effect on your digestion. If you think as somebody who is pretty anxious, but you also have stomach problems, your stomach problems are originating in your nervous system, right? Same thing can go with anybody who has any kind of cardiovascular issues, right? If you are in a steady state of being consistently activated in a stress state, it's going to cause an effect on your blood vessels, on your heart, on the way that your blood pressure is regularly, right? So you go to the doctor, you get a diagnosis of high blood pressure, they want to put you on high blood pressure medication. Nine times out of 10, the origin of that is coming from you living in a sympathetic state, right? And this goes in so many other directions. I mean, as somebody who has become so well-versed over the past five years on infertility, so much of our fertility issues have to go, have to go back to our nervous system and the state of our nervous system and whether or not our body actually feels safe enough to house a pregnancy, right? So I just want to to like talk about that for a moment. That this is something that it's not just affecting whether you feel a little stressed or you feel a little relaxed, right? It is affecting every single system in your body from head to toe.
SPEAKER_04100%. And I'm so happy you named that because you're absolutely right. We are not our systems are not designed to live in this constant state of fight or flight. And yet, society has created that for us, right? Like we used to actually have to run from saber-toothed tigers and bears and stuff. So it was appropriate that we go into that state and then bring it back down. But now, because of the hustle grind culture and the boss babe era, it's become this every little thing. I got a text message. Oh, immediately I'm in fight or flight. Oh gosh, I got an email and I don't like the way that says immediately fight or flight. And so our systems have just become so used to that that it thinks that that's the normal. And you're absolutely right there. And unfortunately, there are so many people that I know that I even have worked with and coached through that don't want to hear that addressing your nervous system is going to be the key to answering some of these issues. Like as a personal trainer, right? I'm even working with people. Gosh, I'm having all this bloat. I'm having issues sleeping at night, I'm having issues digesting my food. Oh, okay, have you thought about this? And they immediately just want that quick fix of no, let me take a pill for that, let me get a pill for this, and not like to sit and say, Hey, why don't we practice on breathing for a little bit? Or sitting and just like, you know, allowing yourself the space to process this and people wanting the quick fix.
SPEAKER_02It's making me laugh. It's reminding me of when you and I first started working together, oh my God, years ago. And one of the first things I would assess in all of my clients is like, how is your sleep? And then what is your kind of routine upon waking up? And you named that you drink coffee immediately when you get out of bed. And I was like, Great, that's spiking your cortisol. That's adding to why you're anxious all day. Like, let's try to change that. And to this day, I think it's one of those things that you're like, rather have the anxiety.
SPEAKER_01Sips coffee.
SPEAKER_04She sips coffee. No, I actually, to be honest, I have gotten a little bit better at that now. I feel like I give myself like 90 minutes and I drink a little bit of water, but I always say, you know, work in progress. Um, but absolutely, like, don't do as I do, do as I say, people. Like my dad used to tell me growing up, right? Don't drink coffee first thing in the morning.
SPEAKER_02Well, and I mean, amongst all of this, too, we'll circle back here that in the long winding roads of the healing journeys that you and I have been on, I think another really important piece of keeping a peaceful nervous system is surrendering to the reality of balance in life, right? Because another thing we can speak about, and this is kind of going to take it in a different direction on a tangent, so we won't go all the way down this road, but is the um the anxiety that can come from the hyperfixation on getting everything perfect and trying to keep your nervous system in a regulated state all the time, right? So um, that was a sidebar. So we talked a bit about your sympathetic nervous system, your fight, your flight. Um, what is something that you guide your clients to seeing, understanding, practicing their way into to kind of combat the fact that we are living in a society that is always coming at our nervous system?
SPEAKER_04Yeah, so for me, with the clients that I'm service serving, it's always about creating some kind of midi morning routine, morning and evening routine that's like three to five minutes long. I start very simple because honestly, like if you've never sat with yourself in silence, you know, with your thoughts, um, trying to do that for longer than three to five minutes, I feel like is going to be agonizing. Um so for me, it's like really starting to take notice to physical sensations in the body. So we do a lot of like body scanning work, right? Um, me guiding them and then them doing it as well on their own in the process. Um physically touching the body, right? Like the practice of actually having hands on the body in different locations and just starting to notice and become aware of what arises, the sensations as well as thoughts that are coming up, and how then we can start breathing into them. My primary modality that I'm bringing into my clients is navigating their breath and how they can use that as an entry point into their body.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, and what are those things kind of pointing them towards? I guess I'm kind of trying to steer you, steer you in the direction of um talking a little bit about the parasympathetic nervous system and how we can utilize intentionally activating that state to combat the reality that we are constantly living in a heightened sympathetic state.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, so we talked about what the sympathetic was. So the parasympathetic then obviously is going to be the the reverse of that or the opposite of that rather. That's getting us into that rest and digest. That's when we're feeling that calm, that's when we're feeling that connectedness. And I will oftentimes use the breath as a way for them to be guided into that. And specifically for me, what I'm doing is elongating the exhales. So when I have somebody breathing, anytime that we are going to take the breath very deep and slow into the body, that's the other thing I want to know. Deep and slow into the body. More often than not, I will tell people to take a deep breath. And you can even practice this right now if you're listening. Like put your hand on your chest and take a deep breath in. And if you notice like that, your shoulders rise up and your chest expands. Chances are you're not actually getting that breath really, really deep into your body. Um, that's a cue to me that you're not feeling safe enough to pull that breath deeper. So sometimes I'll even do um exercises where I have them lay on the floor and we'll put like a like a book or something on their belly to practice what it feels like to actually breathe and pull that breath deep, deep, deep into your body. Because when we're breathing appropriately and properly and deep enough into our body, you should really be able to put your hand on your belly and put your hand on the small of your back and feel that expand. So expanding out rather than up. So if you want to kind of take it, play with that for a moment, put your hand on your low belly, put your hand on the small of your back and breathe in, you should feel both of your hands move. And if they're not, that's again just an invitation that we're not pulling the breath deep enough into the body to connect it to the diaphragm and all of that. Um, so I will tell you that a lot of my clients that I work with, these overachievers, you know, people pleasers, perfectionists, people who want to like get it done right. This is very hard for them. So we have to take it so, so small. So that exercise of laying on the floor and putting your uh book or something light on your belly and just practicing is a really beautiful way to start um learning how to bring that breath a little bit deeper into your body and trying to see if you can do without moving that hand on your chest at all for sure.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. So when we talk about the parasympathetic nervous system, like Jen said, this is your rest and digest. It's where your body is recovering from your day, from your workouts, from the things that you have going on. And it's also the state that would that when practiced into, we can really learn how to clear our minds of all of that mental chatter and all of those thoughts and things that are constantly pulling us in all of these different directions that are continuously activating our sympathetic nervous system. And now I don't want to give the sympathetic nervous system a bad rap. We need it, right? We need a little get up and go. We need a healthy amount of stress in order to do the things that we are doing, create the things that we are creating. But unfortunately, excuse me, we're living in a society where it's gotten so entirely out. Of control, and we are so gravely undereducated on how much connection we can actually create with this system in our lives that creates such a beautiful positive feedback loop in our lives, right? Because these things that Jen's talking about, specifically breath, right, is a practice that you can use. It's activating your parasympathetic nervous system, but the way that it's doing that is by increasing your vagal tone. So for those of you who don't know, your vagus nerve is the biggest nerve in your body and it runs from your brainstem all the way down through your diaphragm and innervates everything. Like all of the other nerves in your body branch off of this main stem that's essentially running the entire length of your, not the entire length of your spine, but it's running right in it parallel with your spine. And when we do things like intentionally breathing, when we do things like cold therapy, when we do things like meditation, dance, singing, all of these things are biological mechanisms. Ooh, I just ripped my necklace off. They're biological mechanisms that are innervating your vagus nerve. And over time, when you consistently practice innervating that nerve, you're increasing your vagal tone. I like to explain this to people as if it's like a muscle that you're working out in the gym. The more you do these things, the stronger your vagal tone gets. The higher your vagal tone is, the more your body is naturally going to be able to navigate into a state of peace and rest and ease. When you have a very low vagal tone, think of this as your vagus nerve being kind of weak, right? And this is your person who is constantly anxious, freaking out about everything, feels like every little thing is the end of the world because their physical body is not equipped, not strengthened to be able to let that mechanism that says, like, oh my god, the earth is ending, to shut it off and remind them that actually in this moment they are safe, right? And this isn't something that you have to consciously do all of the time, but it's something that when you consciously practice over time, like I said, it creates this really beautiful positive feedback mechanism where now you're feeding your nervous system, but your nervous system is feeding you. And the more time that you're spending reminding yourself, like actually, I'm not being chased by a bear right now, the more your body surrenders and gets used to knowing that state, no matter what's kind of going on around you, right? This is where you see your person who is kind of really good at keeping calm, cool, and collected in heightened stress states, right? That person who can stand up in front of a room of a hundred people, right? And give a beautiful speech and feel like they are just being their most authentic natural self because they have access to, this will be the next part of our conversation, what is called your ventral vagal state, which is the state that I get so excited to talk about because it's literally what we mean when we say living in heaven on earth.
SPEAKER_04Beautiful. I can't wait for you to dive into that. And what you're kind of explaining to people is what I like to call the window of tolerance. You know? So just as you're naming that, we I believe the nervous system is like a muscle we have to flex, like we do at the at the gym. It's something that you want to develop, you want it to get stronger. It's not something that we just employ when we're already in a heightened state of arousal, right? When you're already freaking out, when you're already panicked, yeah, it's great to employ these nervous system techniques. But the goal being that you develop a practice where you're doing this every single day so that your body knows how to respond in those heightened moments. So, like I was, I think I was saying it's the other day, whether it was in our community or on here, I can't remember about I'm starting to say more nervous system flexibility rather than saying nervous system regulation. Because as you named, there are appropriate moments where our system needs to rise to the occasion. However, what's happening is we're staying stuck up there in that rather than having this flexibility of like, okay, I can respond appropriately and have a little bit of like edge behind me. But then as that stressor or that fear or that threat goes away, I can bring it back down. Right. So people who are always staying in that heightened sense and they're unable to navigate that really have a small window of tolerance and the ability to navigate the different types of emotions. And so through nervous system work that you're doing with the body and having a regular practice of that, you're making that window bigger and bigger and bigger. So it's not that you're never gonna have stress or panic or bad feelings ever again, but you're going to be able to ride the wave of it much smoother as you continue to expand your system.
SPEAKER_02Right. I love that you brought uh it's such an important piece, like emotions into that. Because nine times out of 10, when somebody is in that state where they're freaking out, it's because they're feeling something incredibly uncomfortable, albeit uh warranted or not, right? For the situation of what's actually going on around them externally. And a huge piece of nervous system regulation. I mean, we can speak to the tools and the strategies, and maybe we'll leave a list in the show notes or of some of the practices that you can incorporate in order to increase that vagal tone. But another really huge piece of nervous system slash somatic work is getting comfortable in sitting with those emotions that arise. And the more that we do that, the more we get used to like, hey, I can actually be with fear. I can actually see fear, I can get to know fear, I can feel fear, and I can recognize that just because I feel afraid doesn't equal that something catastrophic is going to happen. Or I can see grief and I can feel grief and I can sit in grief. And just because I feel grief doesn't mean that there's something wrong with me, or there's something that has to be fixed in my external reality. And that's such a huge piece of that window of tolerance that you talk about, right? Because I think about something a lot of people don't know about me. And I just shared this inside of our community the other day. I don't even know if you would have known that about me before I started sharing it because it was like pre-our relationship. But pre-me doing any of this kind of work, I went through a period of my life where I was so anxious, it was hard for me to leave my house. It was hard for me to be in any kind of social situation without lubricating myself with alcohol because I just had such that underlying buzz you talk about was like not just a buzz. It was like a volume 10 vibration that something terrible was always happening underneath the surface inside of my body. Um, and such a profound practice for me in somatics was of course the breath work and the meditation and sitting and getting to know these different areas of my nervous system, but then really using those practices to sit with the discomfort of how much emotion was inside of my body that I had never looked at, processed, or felt safe enough to release from my system.
SPEAKER_04100%. And I think that keeps a lot of us stuck in these feedback loops of like staying in that anxious or overwhelmed state because we're so afraid of feeling what's underneath the surface. And the reality is if we would allow ourselves the space to sit in that discomfort or that pain, the physical sensations that go along with that would probably last maybe 90 seconds, I think is what the research says. 90 seconds physiologically, you're gonna feel that, and then you're gonna be on the other side of it. And if we would just lean into that and it could be that pain or that discomfort could be the biggest healer and teacher to us, but too often we are afraid of it, and so then we perpetuate our own suffering by falling, you know, continuing to stay stuck in the in the feedback loop.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Yeah. I love that fact when I first found out that the like discomfort of your emotions, if you actually lean in and let yourself go there, it's actually only going to take 90 seconds. But that feels so false in the beginning of this work because our resistance to actually going there elongates that feeling. Now imagine resisting all of your emotion, never touching any of this work, getting any of this education, implementing any of this into your life and resisting those emotions for a lifetime. Now you're elongating the experience of that compounded emotion inside of your body across the entirety of your lifespan, instead of just doing the work to work up to allowing yourself on a daily basis to sit with whatever discomfort comes up and it being there for maybe 90 seconds to, I would say, like five minutes in a true embodiment experience where you're allowing yourself to express, to cry, to scream, to to let out whatever the energy is that's coming up in your system that is always just seeking to complete itself.
SPEAKER_04If you're loving this conversation and you've been wanting a deeper way to walk with God in the real, raw, and messy nature of your everyday life, we'd love to invite you to join us inside of Living Liberated, our faith-based devotional community built to help you navigate what it really looks like to give your life to God. This is a devotional space where we gather weekly as women to pray together, heal together, and grow alongside one another. We offer a seven-day free trial so you can check us out with no strings attached. There's never any commitment except for the one you are creating between you and God. Click the link in the show notes to check it out. We can't wait to welcome you in.
SPEAKER_02These things that we're navigating inside of our systems, they're just they're looking for resolve. It's why they're always poking at you, creating that buzzy sensation, like, hey, I'm here, look at me, give me the time of day. Because if you did, we could actually go into a process that would allow you to release this from me instead of. I used to call it early in my nervous system and somatic healing work, it's like we're all living inside of a pressure cooker. We when we don't have this knowledge about our emotions, and unfortunately, we were also lived, we were also raised by a generation who was taught like, don't have emotions unless they're positive, right? And don't show the world any of them unless they're positive. Now you're just shoving it down, shoving it down, shoving it down, shoving it down. And a huge realization I had with my own anxiety was like, oh, my anxiety is literally just every emotion I've never let myself feel, bubbling at the surface of my body right now, desperately trying to get out of this pressure cooker. And I'm just so afraid of feeling it that I'm trying to push it down and push it down and push it down, therefore staying in this incredibly heightened state because I'm not feeling safe enough to express.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. Um, and we can probably do a whole nother episode diving into parts work. That's a big piece of the work I do with my clients as well. But you, so you talking about a pressure cooker. Similarly, I will explain it as like we just have like a whole school of prepaid like kiddos running around rampant in our bodies. And it's coming down to, as you named, there are these unmet needs that we have, right? Like, think about things like right, we have this need to be seen, heard, loved, accepted, all of those like core needs, safety. Um, and if we had those things as when we were little kids and they weren't met, so then we've now just established these other coping strategies of ways to have those needs met, right? So we've got all these like four-year-olds, six-year-olds, 12-year-olds running our life until we take the time to like go into the space of like, okay, what's actually here? What does this part need from me to feel safe enough in this moment to like unravel, unbind, you know, take stop holding me hostage to these different stories that are continuing me in these like feedback loops over and over and over again.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. We have to, we're gonna maybe our next episode is just gonna be a part two on parts work and yeah, and all of that. Because again, I think this is so important, especially in the realm of faith and spirituality, because unfortunately, the way that the church evolved and the way that you can just kind of surface level, surface level Lee, if that's how you would say that, on a surface level, interpret scripture, it can lead people to believe that so long as I just proclaim Jesus as my Lord and Savior, He's gonna be the thing that comes in and does all of the work. And now that is that is true to an extent, right? It's like true-ish, true-ish. It's that like God, Jesus are unchanging, always available to us, never distant, never actually separate. But these things that we're talking about in our nervous system and the soma of our bodies are the things that hold us in that idea that we are separate, that we are far from God, right? Think about that state of being in a lot of anxiety, something happening in your life that maybe you're dropping to your knees and you're praying to God about, but there's this buzziness of like, how can I fix this and how can I change this? And what do I gotta do and what do I gotta figure out? And God just please just give me the answer, right? It's that state that's coming from your nervous system that makes it so that you cannot really hear God. You cannot be in surrender to God. You can logically think, like, oh yeah, I just have to be still and know that he's God while your nervous system is still like, but is he really and is he really gonna be here and is he really gonna do it? And all of these things inside of your system are the thing that keeps you from having that maintained experience that God is always here, always listening, always responding. And um yeah, I just think it's such an important piece to incorporate into the journey of an evolving faith with Jesus, right? That it's not just about what proclaiming him as your Lord and Savior can do for you in your heart, mind, and body, but how he's already designed, organized your body, your system to be this incredible mechanism that allows you to be in relationship with him and how we can learn how to alleviate ourselves of some of those tensions and patterns and parts, right? So that we can feel safe enough to consistently be receiving him.
SPEAKER_04I feel like maybe that's an unpopular opinion, but the truth is like exactly how you're saying, if we don't feel safe in our system, I feel like it's gonna be next to impossible to allow ourselves to be deeply enmeshed with the peace that God has to offer us.
SPEAKER_02So and I think these are the conversations that take it from just being this idea of how we should feel in God or what a relationship with God should look like or what Jesus says he can offer, and the reality of actually receiving the gifts of that and not just in a moment-to-moment basis, not just when you're in the church in worship, or when you are around that one person who does make you feel really safe, or when you receive that answered prayer, right? That then gives you that washing of like, I knew God was here and I knew God was listening, right? But the exchanging that low-level buzzy anxiety in our systems for that undeniable peace of God that is available. And um yeah, I just I don't think that I either of us would be in the place that we are in with God, with surrender, with any of it, without this information and integration into our systems. And it's why we spend so much time inside of our community and with our one-to-one clients really talking about these things, educating people on what it looks like and what it takes to build a relationship with your nervous system so you can form an experiential relationship with God, right? We don't want to just talk about the nervous system, but we also don't want to just talk about God and expect that there's not going to be any heavy lifting on our end when there is so much knowledge and information and incredible studies that have been done that orient to the reality that the more safe you feel in your system, the more you are actually able to receive the goodness of God.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, and I just want to offer a little bit of encouragement to anybody who's listening because I know when I was on my own journey, I thought like I was bad at the God thing. I was like, I can't hear him, like he's talking to everybody else, like maybe I don't really trust in God and like all of that. And maybe he doesn't want to talk to them. Right, but like what the truth of that is is like NASA, like you're just in survival mode. You are just in survival mode. So let this be an encouragement that, like, you're not broken, there's nothing wrong with you and your relationship with God, it's just an opportunity for you, an invitation to come back to this beautiful vessel that God has created with so much intelligence and wisdom to like navigate whatever you need to to work on, you know, coming home and having that connection with Him. Like so just letting that letting that land for a moment. If you're listening to all this and you're like, oh my gosh, there's so much to do, like nah, you're just everything's okay. You're just in survival mode, and at one point that kept you really safe. So can you, you know, thank all of those parts, right? That have tried to work really hard to keep you safe and in this moment now like step into a reclaiming, you know, we're not getting rid of them, but we're just kind of coming back home, coming back home to connection.
SPEAKER_02So for the person listening who is maybe like, oh my god, another thing on my list that I have to do so that I can be in relationship with God, right? Which I really don't want this to sound like that. But what is what would be something you would recommend to implement in a really tangible way that could help with this expand uh nervous system flexibility you're talking about that could allow for more spaciousness for God to enter the picture and to really start to hear God's voice in a meaningful way?
SPEAKER_04So even for me, when I started this journey, like I said before, three to five minutes. If that even feels too long, a minute and a half. Like I don't care. Pick a number that feels reasonable and doesn't just like take you off into the stratospheres of anxiety. Um and I don't play any music, I don't have anything going. I put my hands on my body, whether it be my heart, whether it be my belly. Um, sometimes I'll even hold my face, but I will literally just tune in to my breathing and I just sit and breathe. And I'm not trying to do it, like if you're just starting out on this, don't even try to control it really, you know, just a regular inhale and exhale and just asking your body questions. Hey, how are you feeling today? Or just starting to notice, like, hey, are there sensations in my body that are like I haven't noticed before? Like, do I have a tension in my neck? Can I can I send my breath to it? Can I touch it? Right, creating that again, that like physical connection with your body, and then starting to ask questions of it. Even for three minutes, and I do this, I started doing this every day. And as that develops, then you can start asking more questions, right? You can start getting curious, like, oh, I notice, like, I've got this tightness in my belly. What's that about? What's that?
SPEAKER_02And we'll get more we'll get more into that. I I'm now like so excited and having so many Dorky like ideas, or I keep wanting to say things that I'm like, save it for the somatic, save it for a somatic episode because we can just go so deep into kind of the unraveling of these things and the unraveling of the parts of us that are in sin, aka the idea that they are separate from God. Um, but I love that you name and I want to reiterate like three to five minutes. When I started out in this work, I used to suggest like 15 minutes to people, and I realized pretty quickly that it's like that feels so hard, and it feels like something that I'm consistently failing out because I can't do it, because I'm so uncomfortable. And we just the other morning were actually this is coinciding so beautifully, we're doing like six weeks of nervous system work inside of our free online community. So if that's also something that you're interested in, if you want to get into this work deeper into this education, but you don't know where to start, join us in our free community. We're gonna be doing six weeks of all different kinds of practices and conversations around the nervous system and specifically the nervous system as it relates to you receiving God. Um but if the other day inside of our uh community we had our first day of kind of talking about the nervous system and we started with a three-minute practice in silence, and I was facilitating, and even as somebody who does this work regularly, sits in medit prayer and meditation, like I'm constantly in silence with God. I was facilitating, and the three minutes felt so long. It felt so long. So giving yourself graciousness, because I think it can be really easy to hear three minutes and be like, oh, what like what's three minutes gonna do? But three minutes a day, if you divide Devo yourself to that, and it it can be first thing in the morning, it can be one of my favorite places to do this is when I pull into my driveway before I get out of my car to come into my house, or when I pull up somewhere and maybe I'm a few minutes early, right? If you give yourself three minutes a day and you devote yourself to that, that's 21 minutes a week. And you can work up from there, of course. Three minutes becomes five minutes, five minutes becomes ten minutes, but it doesn't have to be this super strict, it has to be this amount of minutes every single day, or it's not gonna work. Any amount of time that you are spending in silence is going to open up that door for God to start communicating with you and for you to start down regulating your nervous system so that you are a more open vessel to receive his word.
SPEAKER_04100%. And another thing I like to name with my clients, and maybe your body will, you know, if safety is something that's really challenging for you, even communicating with your body when you go to sit down to say we're just gonna be here for no more than five minutes, right? So your body also like can soften and settle into that and knowing it has a time limit. Like, okay, we're gonna stay in this for no more than five minutes and then we're gonna come back out of it. Because I think for for me, and I've noticed in some of my other clients as well, like there's this like fear that you're gonna get stuck in whatever emotion is arising, and then you get like really panicked about it. So I have found that giving my body like the time limit uh frame also helps. Um and yeah, I I love that idea. What I love to tell people all the time is like, you know, you have this free medicine that you're just walking around with all day, every day. You have your breath and you can use your breath to invoke any kind of emotion you're needing. And it doesn't need to be these like long, lengthy, drawn-out sessions. Although sitting with yourself for that long can, you know, once you get into it, can feel really beautiful and you look forward to it. But if you've got two minutes, you can sit in the car. And if you're feeling lethargic, you can breathe in a certain way that's gonna boost your nervous system and get you more alert. And similarly, if you're feeling really wound up, you can take your breath deep and slow in your body for three to five rounds and immediately notice a shift in your body. So I just I like to name that because I think people have this preconceived notion that they have to go into this big, lengthy process to feel anything. When literally, if I sat here with you guys and we breathed for 90 seconds, you'd notice your system would respond so quickly and it would either go up or down depending on the way that we're breathing. And it's like, man, how cool is that that we're carrying around this medicine that God has given us. What is the um Bible verse? Oh, I wrote it down earlier, it's gonna drive me crazy. Um, Genesis 2, verse 7. Breath is God given, like God breathed life into us. He wants you to use your breath. And so, how cool that you have that with you at all times. And you ain't gotta go, you don't have the copay, you're gonna be like, oh my gosh, that's like the off-brand, and it's still costing me $200 a month. Like, nah, fam, you got that with you all the time. Use it.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. I love that piece just about how it does it doesn't have to be long and complicated because I think in the world of social media and wellness culture, and Jen and I talk a lot about getting off of the healing hamster wheel, um, that it can feel like you have to have this 10-step process perfected in order to create any significant change in your life. But the reality of educating and implementing the education around your nervous system is you'll come to find, I mean, if you took one deep breath right now, you would feel the way that it relaxes your body.
unknownRight.
SPEAKER_02Felt it.
SPEAKER_04I did it.
SPEAKER_02And you are doing this already throughout your day. Anytime you sigh, anytime you do find yourself taking a deep breath, maybe we're not consciously doing it, but it's like your body is naturally trying to do this all the time. Imagine the power of that medicine when you put some intention behind it and give your body the space it needs instead of consistently overriding that of like, nope, gotta do more, gotta push harder, too busy, got too much going on, the never-ending to-do list in our heads that we create because we are chasing the state that we can actually get to with God in our nervous system by implementing practices like this, which is a whole nother rabbit hole for another time, right? But when we are consistently doing and chasing, you're trying to get more money, more things, a different relationship, all of these things that we're reaching for outside of ourselves, it's because we're trying to satiate the wound inside of us that only God Himself can fill. And the practices we're talking about right now, this education about your nervous system, is a way for you to create more space for God to come into your life instead of filling up all of that space with more things that you're trying to access outside of you that are never actually going to give you that feeling that you're seeking by acquiring them.
SPEAKER_04So good. So I just naming as well that I think this dysregulation that we feel in our systems really impacts or distorts our perception of God. You know, when we're feeling angst or overwhelmed, that's like what are the stories we tell ourselves? Like, God's not coming through for me, God's not listening to this. Um, I gotta figure this out on my own, right? Like, where is he? God's not here in this, I'm gonna have to figure this out on my own. You know, we create all of these fear-based stories based off of the dysregulation that we're experiencing in our system.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Meanwhile, and this is a perfect segue into we wanted to, we did some research into some Bible verses and things that speak actually directly to what it is that we're talking about here. I mean, there's Psalm 46, 10, be still and know that I am God. If you are constantly moving and chasing and doing from that place of not enoughness or from that place of dysregulation, whatever that wound is that's keeping you running and chasing, you're never going to know that he is God. It literally says, be still and know that I am God. It is in that stillness that we're speaking to through nervous system regulation that creates the spaciousness for you to know that he is God.
SPEAKER_04So your body has to slow down to be able to know. You know, like if I mean, because think about how many times you're getting cues from your body. All day your body is signaling to you things and how much we override that because we're going so fast. You have to slow the body down to be able to tune in to the wisdom that's trying to come through.
SPEAKER_02And the wisdom that's the wisdom that's trying to come through is such a slower pace than we have been conditioned to go. That's something. I'm sorry, y'all, you're gonna hear me. I mean, my full personality has become pregnancy and motherhood. So I'm just gonna be relating it back to this all of the time now. Um, that's something that's been so beautiful inside of this first trimester of pregnancy because I literally don't have the energy for anything, right? So I'm recognizing how many of the things that I would do and chase and consistently be feeling like I had to fill my day with in order to feel like I had done enough in my life, how much of that has fallen away and how much spaciousness that's actually created for God to be like, I wasn't telling you to do that. I wasn't telling you to be going 90 miles an hour, eight hours a day, right? And how far has it really gotten you? Can you for this period of time try on what it would feel like to actually only act when God is asking you to act? And it's so uncomfortable because of how much we've been conditioned into consistently being in action and consistently seeking these external results and how that feedback mechanism actually can continuously keep us in separation from that peace that we are seeking inside of God.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, and I think you know, I used to always be like, You heard from God, what does he sound like? It was his voice. Like I was thinking I was like, I mean, literally, we did a couple of programs.
SPEAKER_02That you were like, Oh, you're talking about here, like what is what does his voice sound like? What do you mean?
SPEAKER_04Exactly. And now what I but now what I realize is like it's a it's the quiet knowing that comes through. Like, I mean, eventually God's gonna get loud and bold when you're not when you're not listening, right? And we get those, what I call those, like God gave you a time out because he's given, he's been trying to communicate with you. Like, and I I mean I'm being funny when I say that, but even tying that back to like different sicknesses and things like that. Like about these people who are running themselves ragged and going into burnout, and God is you're not gonna hear God if you're continuing like to push and ignore and override your system. And then sometimes, and I hope that you never get to this point, but we all do, where it's like the body finally gets to a firm point and it's like, I'm not gonna do anymore. And then you hit some drastic dis-ease or something happens that knocks you on your booty um because he's not gonna scream, he's not gonna scream.
SPEAKER_02Think about the correlation for a minute between everything that we've been talking about since the beginning of this conversation and that what you just said right there, right? When you are in a constant state of running and chasing and doing because you are trying to satiate that which only God can fulfill for you in the silence, in the stillness, is then dis-ease that eventually turns into disease in your body not a perfect design by God to actually show you where in your life you've been acting out of accordance with his will for you. Right? Something that's like a mic drops. People definitely don't want to hear, and it's hard to hear, right? Like it's hard to hear that could disease in some ways actually be a blessing if it can be seen as such and point us in the direction of the things that we've been doing, the things we've been chasing, the parts we've been moving from that need deep healing with Jesus, that need deep time with God, right? And it just makes me think of all the miracle-making stories of God, healing, disease. Right?
SPEAKER_01Oh, I love God so much, it's so cool.
SPEAKER_04I know, and like just to like bring this, like the people who are gonna be like, I don't have time to do that, yada yada, yada. Like, y'all, like Jesus did these things, okay? Jesus regularly withdrew and went out on his own, right? Went out in the quiet, and I am sure that that man was breathing and praying and meditating, right? Like, remember when God uh Jesus slept through the storm? Like, okay, he slept in chaos because he had that deep trust. Like he never in any of the stories that I've read throughout the Bible of his walking on this earth, like he was deeply, deeply rooted so in in every situation, and I truly believe like he wasn't just here to teach us peace, like Jesus embodied this peace that we're talking about.
SPEAKER_02And now, how do we embody that peace?
SPEAKER_04How do we embody that? I think first you start by getting some kind of practice in where you're sitting with yourself. That might be a good start.
SPEAKER_02Getting to know your nervous system. I have said since the beginning of me doing this work, and I I get so like something you guys need to know about me is when I get excited and like really nerdy about things, it I get this feeling that I want to like kick down a door. And that's how I feel when I talk about the combination of God and nervous system healing, right? Because it has fundamentally changed the way that I experience the entirety of my reality from the inside out, and I just want everyone to like know and experience that, right? And all we can do is lead a horse to water. But I'm so curious what would change in your life if you started to give yourself a daily practice of nervous system flexibility. And I love that you said that, Jen. I'm not even gonna say nervous system regulation anymore because that gives us this idea that we should always be in a regulated state, which is just not the truth of the human experience. But I have been saying for years, since the beginning of me doing this work, that like, why aren't people talking about this? Why are we doing this the same way that we brush our teeth or wash our bodies or wash our clothes or feed ourselves, right? You see so much health and wellness out there that's about making sure you're getting enough water and taking your supplements and eating these macros and getting these workouts in when meanwhile the nervous system is the central switchboard of everything that is going on inside of your body, so much so that when you start to implement these things and your nervous system starts to come into this place of homeostasis and you get a strong vagal tone and you're getting that flexibility in your capacity, you have more energy to pour towards wanting to get up and do that workout, wanting to actually pour into nourishing yourself in a really good way, right? Because when your nervous system is out of whack and you're living in that sympathetic state all the time, contracted, chronic, high levels of cortisol, there is no spaciousness for anything else. Your body is using all of its energy just to maintain living in that state. So when you devote yourself to doing work such as what we're talking about right now, whether it's that you start with a practice of three to five minutes a day, or you work with your friendly neighborhood somatic practitioners.
SPEAKER_04I was gonna say, shameless plug. If you need help, you got two somatic therapists here ready and willing to hold you in that experience. Um, but no, yeah, uh my my invitation is simple. Simple, not easy, but it's can you commit to three to five minutes? And what does that time look like? Slow your breath down, get into stillness or movement if that even feels good to you. Place your hands on your body, tune in. Do I feel safe right now? What would make me feel safe right now? And if you're not sure, that's okay too. But like starting to build that connection with your body, that trust with your body. And I also just real fast caveat I want to name here like invitation not to get frustrated with yourself if you're like, I don't know what safety feels like, or you're getting pushback and your body's not answering. Because here's the truth of the matter: you've been overriding your body for a really long time. It's going to take time to rebuild that trust because your body doesn't believe that you're going to actually do what you say you're going to do and try to keep it safe. So you've got to go slow with this process. You've got to be patient with yourself. It's not about forcing a connection with your body, it's not about forcing a connection with God, it's about creating a capacity in your system to hold whatever is there. I just wanted to make sure I name that before we finished up.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, absolutely. Amen. It just really leads anytime we have a conversation about this, be it in our community right here on this podcast, or I know you and I are talking about these things all of the time, it really just causes me to look back and reflect on where I was then and where I am now, and where I now get to continue to go in my nervous system and with God and just my prayer that I want all beings everywhere to know that they have access to this too. And odds are, if you're somebody who's saying, like, I don't have time for that, you're doing a lot of stuff in your life that God isn't asking you to do. You're doing a lot of stuff in your life that's actually actions being taken from your wounds of separation versus filling those wounds and those voids with the silence and the stillness so that God can come in and actually show you experientially the truth of who he is.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. And I I just want to kind of bring it home and remind you that God is always here. God is always punching. The qu the question is, does your body feel that it's safe enough to receive him?
SPEAKER_01Oh my god, and the follow-up to this about somatic pieces and parts work, it's gonna be so good, guys. I just want to leave.
SPEAKER_02We um we were looking up a couple of Bible verses just to really like kind of bring this all home for places that you can go in the I am somebody who, when I'm going through certain things in my life, I will find Bible verses and kind of write them on post-it notes and stick them around my house. In my fertility journey, I had um a verse from Isaiah posted right about above my light switch that said, Um, in the perfect time, I, God, will make it happen, right? And so I always want to leave these, and maybe we'll write some of them in the show notes as well if you guys want to jot them down and stick them somewhere if you're on a journey with God and your nervous system and finding true embodied peace inside of your experience. Um, so one that I found that I really, really loved was John 14, 27. Peace I leave with you, my peace I give you. Let not your hearts be troubled.
SPEAKER_04Isn't that so beautiful? That's so amazing. I uh I like I wrote down Philippians 4, verse 7, which I also like. It says, and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Like a peace that surpasses anything you can understand, guys. Like what?
SPEAKER_02Because it's become embodied.
unknownRight.
SPEAKER_02And I love when a Bible verse, like you could read that and read that and read that and read that and read that, and like, okay, God is supposed to offer this peace beyond understanding. I don't understand it, I don't get it, right? But we're speaking from this place of we hold that reality, like we experience that reality now. There is an underlying peace that I do not understand in moments where I don't have enough. I don't know how things are gonna work out, I don't know if prayers are gonna be answered, but I know who God is because of the time I've spent sitting in the stillness getting to know him. So the final verse I will leave. I don't know if you have another one you want to share, is to Timothy 1.7. For God gave us a spirit not of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind.
SPEAKER_04Would you believe me if I said I wrote that one down too? That's like that is like one of my absolute favorite go-to Bible verses. Because I love that, like, right? Because anytime I can get myself wound up, I am reminded that God did not give me a mind to have fear, to be anxious, to be worried. Like sound mind, sign heart. That is what he gave me. And I love that verse. I have it like everywhere, and I always quote it. So thank you for uh closing us up with that. Man, this was such a I'm like nerding out. I'm feeling I'm sweating.
SPEAKER_01I'm re-inspired.
SPEAKER_04I literally love talking about this stuff so much. Yeah, and it's re it's reinvigorating. And so just to kind of close this up, like Molly named earlier, um, our community, our Living Liberated community, this is free for you women to join. Um, sorry guys, we'll find work on something for you guys later, but this is specifically a community for women, and we are diving deep into somatics and nervous system uh work the next several weeks. So if you're interested, if you hear hearing this and you're like, whoa, is it too late to hop in? No, come join us. We'll put the link in the show notes. Um and similarly, I want to just name this as well, but I know that it can be really overwhelming to sit with some of this stuff. Even if you're sitting for two minutes and you're noticing like it's hard to go there, seek out help. Whether that be from Molly and myself, who are both trained, somatic, trauma-informed therapist, um, or someone else we can help like connect you with. We would love to do that. You don't have to do this work alone, but I know that both of us would be more than happy to walk this walk with you and navigate as you're with your walk with God and just trying to figure out how to work with your nervous system in a sustainable way. So I'm just I'm encouraged by this conversation. I feel uh lit up. I'm excited for you. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02I'm excited for what's to come in the community too. I feel like this conversation is inspiring like ideas around what we're gonna do inside of the community. And I just want to reiterate I don't feel like Jen and I do a good enough job at like kind of hyping, hyping up our own work and hyping up this space that we've created, but God has placed it on our hearts to make this space completely free. It's donation based. So we do have a link where if you are feeling super supported by the work that we are doing on this podcast or the work that we are doing in the community, but there is no paywall, there is nothing that you have to do in order to get. Inside, either than click the link and come check us out. We are consistently in conversation in a Slack community where we have a space for prayer, where we have a space for celebrations, where we have a space just for general connection with the other women inside of the community, resources, questions. And then we meet every single Friday at 9 a.m. Eastern Standard Time. And like we just said, for the next as long as God intends, we keep saying six weeks, but for the next six weeks, we're really going to be diving deep into this forming and embodied relationship with God through your nervous system. So we would love, love, love, love, love to see some of you inside.

SPEAKER_01Why are you doing it wrong? Who's doing it wrong? Guys, bro, who's doing it wrong?
SPEAKER_04Who's doing it wrong? I just I even took a long pause there for you to be like, she's gonna come in and join me.
SPEAKER_01I'm just trying to follow you. I think we just have to go.
SPEAKER_02Guys, we don't know if we'll get in trouble because we don't know if this is trademark, but we do joke around all the time and do it like uh hot pocket, like hot pockets. God's got it.
SPEAKER_04God's got it. I mean, it's I think we might just need to roll with that.
